This is the time of year when spiders come out!  Ever walk into a web and have the spider crawl on your head?  Scary yet know the poor creatures are just as scared of us.  Its too bad when our fears compel us to squash and kill it.  After a violent ending to an innocent life, I will feel guilty and a bit sad that my panic was its demise.  Afterall, I am 1,000 times larger.

Spiders are good.  They eat bugs.  My Japanese heritage tells me that spiders are good luck and that if  found in your home  they should never be killed. I guess if they are killed outside, thats another story especially if they are the ugly, hairy brown ones and you’ve walked into it’s web and they are in your hair, crawling around down your back dangling with a thread attached like a life line to get to the ground. I tried not to harm it, yet it creeped me out (I was screaming!), so it had to die..thats what my friend said as her foot lifted off the broken, smashed arachnid, “It had to die’…
